This was our first time at this location. We signed up for the wait list on the app. We were greeted warmly, when it was time for us to be seated. Our server, Paige, was extremely nice, friendly, and informative. She advised that they were short-staffed today and to please be patient with them. TERRIBLE experience and UNACCEPTABLE service. Do not waste your time coming here. Waffle House and iHOP have better food and service, just go down the street. We got seated and had to wait over 30 minutes to even be acknowledged by someone. Not a single server or manager came to our table that whole time. The picture provided was supposed to be mashed potatoes. The Service was good but the food was Not good at all. The gravy and chicken tasted as if just came out of the refrigerator. I will say the manager did make things right but it should never come to a manger having to receive a complaint because of the kitchen serving food such as this.
I picked up my order and brought it back to my hotel. The coleslaw was sour and tasted bad, so I threw it away.The sweet potato wasn't cooked, so I microwaved it for an additional 6 minutes. It was supposed to have candied pecans and cinnamon butter, but it was plain with nothing on it. I started eating the fried apples and ended up chewing on a piece of plastic. I've picked up dinner at this Fayetteville North Carolina store before and it was good. But not this time. Sorry but I won't be back.
Dec 13. 8:20 pm. The one star for service was a result of the hostess’ rude attitude. It set the tone for the entire visit and nearly spoiled my high perception I’ve had for years about loving Cracker Barrel where you can find the warmest country home atmosphere, great food and service in any restaurant in any state.
