Came in for lunch, with a party of 8. We were accommodated within 20 minutes, host and manager were friendly. Our server was also really great! I wish I would have remembered her name. We all enjoyed our food, it was also my first time trying dumplings and I was very surprised at how delicious it is!
Devon was an absolute jewel!!! He was very pleasant and personable. We never ran out of drinks and he constantly checked in with us during our meal to ensure we didn't need anything else. Devon has excellent customer service skills which is definitely a great quality in the restaurant industry. Thank you Devon for a wonderful experience. BEST experience ever!!!
The food and service has both hits and misses. I ordered the spicy grilled catfish which was amazing! The fish was tender and very juicy, the seasoning was perfect. Their steamed broccoli side was also a hit. But their mashed potatoes were dry on the outside almost a little bit of a crust, and the Mac and cheese was not really cheesy or creamy. Their Mac and cheese had a pasty texture. Service was slow and the line to check out was long with only one cashier.
I have not ate this particular Cracker Barrel in a year, due to being disappointed in the quality and quantity of food compared to other Cracker Barrels out of state, but I gave it another chance due to having a coupon and being near it. Well, I'm sure are glad I did, due to the food being Excellent in Amount, Taste and Presentation. It was GREAT despite being shift change, which impressed me even more, and I highly recommend the Lexington, NC Cracker Barrel the next time you have a taste for country cooking!
The waitress was definitely 5 stars, her disposition, knowledge, friendliness, and just a super person!!! The food was also excellent, perfect temperature and HIGE servings, (even I had to get a takeout box). Wife and I had an absolute GREAT TIME!!!
