So never been to a Cracker Barrel before. It was interesting that they were also a unique novelty and other type gift store. With unique clothing, foods, toys and all year long Christmas items. The restaurant was better priced than the store though. Again they did have many gifts that you don't find everywhere so it might be worth spending more $. The food was good but not over the top great.
Besides cracker barrel taking food off the menu we liked me and my family had to wait in line behind another customer wondering when we were going to get seated for a table. The staff they have no help plus they are really slow in getting the customer good service. The server seemed like she had an attitude. Going to stop coming here if management cannot pick up better help and better customer service. Of course cracker barrel will send me a response to my review like all the other reviews on how do we make it Right .
Party of three. This particular Cracker Barrel had a special on ribs yesterday. We arrived at 3:45 p.m. and were told they were out of the ribs. Also came to find out that they were also out of cornbread. The biscuits looked old. My country fried steak was okay, not terrific. The accompanying green beans and mac and cheese were below luke warm. My wife's beef stew was okay but then again the veggies were too cold. Friendly hostess kept us filled with sweet tea. We normally have great meals at Cracker Barrel, but the chicken and dumplings on Sept 14th in Gadsden, AL exit 181 were not good. They were like paste. All stuck together. Of course, we paid for it. Our service was excellent. Store was clean.
The hostess is kind and welcoming, however every single time we come we sit and sit and sit without being greeted, tables around who come in after already have drinks and ordering their food before we’re even greeted, standard practice is greeting your table right away and at least acknowledging you see them. Won’t be coming back to this location anymore! Given too many chances and every time it’s the same thing.
