So never been to a Cracker Barrel before. It was interesting that they were also a unique novelty and other type gift store. With unique clothing, foods, toys and all year long Christmas items. The restaurant was better priced than the store though. Again they did have many gifts that you don't find everywhere so it might be worth spending more $. The food was good but not over the top great.
Long time cRacker Barrel customer. You once had the best biscuits anywhere. The restaurants never seem very clean, glass on the pictures n objects on the walls need a good cleaning. For awhile we had a waitress that brought us a biscuit to tied us over, but not wow. Food was warm but not hot
We normally have great meals at Cracker Barrel, but the chicken and dumplings on Sept 14th in Gadsden, AL exit 181 were not good. They were like paste. All stuck together. Of course, we paid for it. Our service was excellent. Store was clean.
There were 12 of us.Plates were held in the kitchen and bought out 6 at one time then 5 came together, One of our guest got order late and it was not what he ordered.The food was not warm.I am in the catering business. I ordered fish. I was very good. It does not have to be warm to be good, but eggs do.I love cracker barrel and I will be back.Breakfast foods, gravy, biscuits ,and eggs need to be brought out as soon as they are plated.
Ordered takeout since we were staying nearby. Had country fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and peach cobbler. The food was delicious and ready in no time. The personnel were very accommodating too. Would definitely return.
