I hadn't found a dentist in Boston since I moved (4 years ago), and would go to my old dentist on visits home. I missed a few cleanings over the past couple years and found myself with an awful toothache and no one to call. First appointment today. Hadn't been to the dentist in 6 years and was nervous. From the moment I walked in, the entire staff was so warm and welcoming. The two young women at the front desk put me at ease immediately. Melissa, the X-ray technician was friendly and funny and kept my mind from worrying. Dr. Vora had a calming presence as did the hygienist, Viktoriya. My teeth are very sensitive and she had a gentle yet thorough touch during the cleaning. I still had pain after Dr. Vora filled a non-cavity. He couldn't see a void in my tooth on the radiography display. My pain was caused by a need to switch to Sensodyne toothpaste. My second opinion figured this one out. I was in a rush to make the pain go away. How did I know I didn't have a cavity. The pain went away with one application of Sensodyne. Now I have a needlessly drilled and filled tooth. At no point was Sensodyne offered as a solution by your office. There such a push for ratings and followup at your office. Th... read more
The assistant today was fine, but the previous assistants I've had have been quite idiotic. Maybe they were still early in their dental school training, but one of them didn't know what or how to do a full mouth X-ray. Additionally, a second tried to perform a second set of impressions even though I already had Invisalign in. Also, there needs to be better appointment management.
