I went to Dr McNulty requesting to have an adhd assessment done, she completely ignored my request and prescribed me the same medication that I had worked months to get off of because it did not work for me and made me suicidal. It seemed like she didn't really care and just wanted to do whatever was going to be quickest and easier for her.
She never showed up for the virtual appointment. We called the office staff repeatedly during the appointment time. Each one promising they would find out what was happening. No one ever called back. Left message for the office manager. No staff called us. They said she was having “technical difficulties and would be calling patients “. We have a phone. The doctor didn’t call us. We were calling her during the appointment time. She could have just picked up the phone. We never got to see her. No explanation given as to why s... read more
Stay away from Dr. McNulty. I went to her for 2 years for ADD, anxiety and depression. She had me on a cocktail of 7 meds, two stimulants at the highest max dosage, 2 anti depressants, Ativan for the anxiety caused by such high stimulants and something to sleep. I ended up at a neurologist who told me how dangerous that was, and to see Dr. McNulty immediately. She said she couldn’t safely reduce anything and I would need a medically supervised detox. I spent the week of Christmas inpatient at Ridgeview, and another 2 months ... read more
Worst miserable experience Least qualified doctor ever met, ever. Went for evaluation on a Friday about a month ago. She seemed entirely disinterested. Requested her opinion or results of evaluation. She refused to share. My primary care has attempted to get evaluation as well. Her request ignored. Ive experienced better communication and empathy as well as insights from a rabid raccoon. I would appreciate a professional who would behave as such. Calling insurance to revoke payment. good luck!
Dr. McNulty is the quintessential prescription writer rather than a therapist. She quite literally asked me what I wanted to be prescribed. Multiple times she joked about some of the experiences I shared with her. Zero sympathy. I was not seen until 90 minutes after my appointment time. When I saw her she told me she apologized for the delay but that she did not want to wait in traffic so she left her house after the traffic died down despite already running late. I would not recommend at all.
Classic example of apparent license to provide medicine, but not one once of desire to assist the patient. Dr. McNulty does not engage in conversation or even answer questions. She will literally ask which medicine you'd prefer and how much. Is that not her job? I do not recommend this doctor.
It is difficult to get hold of any doctor for any reason. Office staff is curt and not responsive. Don't ever expect anything to get done any time soon. Don't waste your time calling if you have an urgent matter.
The office manager is just terrible. I ended up walking out without seeing anyone, and without my much needed prescription. She kept insisting that I pay a no-show charge of $50 for a missed appointment. I told her that I had explained them on every visit that they MUST send me a reminder ahead of my appointment or I would not remember it. They did not do that. She said reminders are just a courtesy. So, I guess I have responsibilities, and they have courtesies. They lost a patient over $50.
Do not recommend. She is always late, sometimes as much as an hour. She will NEVER apologize. I get the impression she really doesn't care; you're just another fee. She does not spend enough time actually talking to you; instead, she just writes you a new prescription without even explaining anything about it. Off you go until the next time. She also is hard to reach. Not a people person.
