The establishment really feels like a Nashville chicken spot. From the exterior, interior, and the service it feels like it is comfortable with what it has to offer. The portion size is reasonable for the price and the chicken is seasoned really well. You definitely won't be wanting more in terms of flavor, it has a salty and spicy (depending on what you order) dry rub in addition to some sauces that can add some extra kick or another layer of complexity to the flavor. Just know that their definition of hot is probably not what you think. I had my chicken slider and tender at their hot level thinking of Hooters level of spicy, but it was much hotter. I can't imagine people getting their higher levels of spicy, but I am probably a spice lightweight. The restaurant looked clean despite the many customers. Most of them taking advantage of the outdoor seating. I took advantage of the seating near the fountain drinks. As I said, the chicken was spicy hot. Come try it. Well worth it!

Was out enjoying an evening with the family and we decided to try this place . We heard about it on Facebook ,and the chicken was really good ,I got the hot (8 of 10 hot level ) and my wife got the light mild one (she said there was too much seasoning on it ) maybe if they had option on how much seasoning they put on it ,her opinion but will try the reaper next time, the waiver you have to sign scared me off tbh lol

I wanted to try something new and Dave's Hot Chicken was it. Glad I arrived at this decision because the chicken is delicious. The spice blend on the chicken is like no other. Depending on preference, you can go up or down on the spice level without compromising on the overall taste. Dave's Hot Chicken has become my top choice when I'm in the mood for takeout.

My family couldn't get enough of this place that they refused to leave IL without having their last meal here. The prices and everything on the menu was excellent. The portion and quality was on point that my daughter who is a picky loved it. Can't wait to have more of this Hot Chicken!

The food is tasty but overpriced for what you get. The coleslaw was kind of bland. The spice levels confused me. I ordered medium because reaper seemed like it would be ghost pepper level hot--medium tastes like it should be mild. What's even more confusing, is I ordered my child light mild and it tasted the same level as the medium.. light mild should be mild, and medium should be mild. Ok now I'm confused.

Very good quality chicken. I didn't think the Xtra hot or Reaper was that hot however. Sauce is good and I like the tenders with cheese.

I loooove spicy fried chicken sandwiches. So when I heard about this place opening up, I knew I had to try it. I had the #2 with sliders, medium spice level. The tenders are pretty hefty in size and I appreciate the extra pickles they give. Their slaw was light and fresh. Overall, it was a decent sandwich. The flavor was just ok for me. I feel like it was missing something, a bit more flavor in the chicken seasoning maybe, more oomph. I'm a massive fan of a different chicken shop, so I'm comparing it to that. I was looking at the pictures of the place and held very high standards based on it. I have been to this place many times and drive about 30 minutes for it. Staff is VERY kind and helpful, food is delicious as well! Definitely recommend!!!
