TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Went to the movies and got out late. Luckily, this is open late. So we decided to stop by. It was pretty busy when we got there, but we decided to stay and order to go. It took a bit to get the food which if you don't have the patience well I would suggest you get on your phone so it won't seem long. We had our order doordashed but all our orders were correct, cooked crispy on the outside with soft most meat inside, and spice matched to our 3 different styles. I don't understand the white bread with the chicken strips, so they stayed in the box. Overall. Fed 3 of us for $50 & still thirsty!!! Love the food. Presentation also very colorful!!
Was headed to Freddy’s but wasn’t sure if they had chicken for my friend and we saw Dave’s. Glad we did. Ian and Erika were not only polite but pleasant and accommodating even though it was busy for lunch. The medium spicy option was perfect for me my wife loved her Hot option and our friend Rose enjoyed mild. Holy crap! The food here is delicious! Warning! The reaper lives up to its name. Do not try unless you can tolerate extreme spicy. You have to sign a waiver too 😂 Update: we have tried the new Dave’s not chicken and it’s really good. Can’t believe you make cauliflower taste so good. Thank you Ian for the recommendation. I ordered 3 combos and ordered some extra sauces today for lunch. My sauces were forgotten so I let them know about it and Julie did not hesitate to make things right. Awesome customer service, it truly makes me want to keep coming back. The food was ready in about 15 minutes and incredibly delicious. The workers were friendly. 10/10 recommend.
