TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First time to Dave’s hot chicken. Food was great! Chicken was cooked to perfection and was just the right level of heat for me with the medium. Fries were well cooked and seasoned. Staff was really nice and was out cleaning tables. Jewelee was our cashier and did a great job of helping us as first time customers. Will definitely come back!
First off, the chicken sandwiches are fantastic! I'm definitely going to come by here for some chicken. Their chicken and their fries hit just right! 5/5 on those items. The reason I didn't give a 5/5 overall was because the mac n cheese was terrible, they didn't have any other sauces, and the service was meh. I'll definitely be back. They have great chicken and atmosphere!
Dave's Hot Chicken originated from Hollywood (L.A.), California. The chicken tasted different, but not bad. I suggest medium spice, it's restaurant name lets you know they have hot chicken. A bit spendy, we were at $50 for 4 ppl. Overall, great customer service, friendly atmosphere, but it's not the best chicken I have ever had. Celebrities invested in Dave's; Drake, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Strahan, Usher.
Frieken good! Sliders are bomb. Spice levels are not quite as hot as other chains but I think the rub has more flavor and an underlying sweetness. Tried the second and third hottest options. Second hottest is my sweet spot. Slaw is killer. Tried the cheese fries…. Very good. Fries are standard crinkle cut fries, but with cheese are very good. The location was quite busy, but well organized and running efficiently. Pros- Very clean interior, with calm and friendly staff. Manager on site. No one appeared stressed even though they were quite busy and had a full house. I like the idea of the walk-up window! Great for DoorDash and online orders.
