The food and service is terrible. I want a refund. I went in there at 8 o'clock and the food took about 35-40 mins. I spent $36 on three little things. Something needs to be done on training and speed of food coming out. Would not recommend. Now I know why the long was so long on opening week.

I have been a Dave's fan ever since I tried them in LA in 2021. Since then I had been waiting for them to open in SF and the day has finally come.. did it live up the hype? Well that's the tricky part.. we dined in on a busy Sunday evening with a party of eight adults and two kids. 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon visit. Terrible Service -- Inedible, Completely Disgusting Food! I ordered the Slider/Tender Combo with fries. 24 minutes to get my food. Loads of help milling around doing nothing. I tried chewing the tender and immediately became nauseated -- yes it's that disgusting. I spit it out. I glanced at the slider but did not touch it. It was my first time trying Dave's Hot Chicken bc I saw all over my social media, the chicken itself was not great it was very bland and it needed Dave's sauce but that really didn't help it at all. The only semi good thing was the pickles on the chicken THAT WAS IT. The fries that came wt my meal were very over seasoned and I thought that it was a little sweet, which I don't like at all. Was excited to try this place. Food came out pretty quickly. Had fries and a sandwich. Sandwich was juicy but over seasoned by far. Felt like I was eating paprika over some meat. Taste was horrible in my opinion. Took a few bites to be sure and then threw it in the garbage. My son got the tender which I tried and it was basically tasteless dried chicken. Complete hype. Right now everyone, myself included, is running to see what this is all about. You'll expect to wait about 20 minutes for your order. The traffic inside is just like when Huey Magoos opened a year ago. They are overstaffed with servers and understaffed with cooks. Expect all this to change over time but let's get into the food itself. Food is good but we waited 30 minutes between the line to place our order and then it being ready. I would hold off on this place until they perfect how to get the food out in a reasonable time frame!
