With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long. I like the Philly-themed murals in the dining area. Staff was welcoming for first time customers like me and she explained the menu well. You can choose the level of heat. You need to sign a waiver for the hottest one. I picked the "little spice ". I didn't taste any heat at all. The chicken was very tender and moist. Nice crunchy coating and not greasy at all. But, very plain, boring, and lacks of seasoning even after I add the sauce.

Great food and heat. Atmosphere and employees also great. Employee very good but unable to help decide what to eat based on taste - would recommend employees able to test food for hot levels

So happy to finally have a Dave's Hot Chicken open near where I live! I went on the Grand Opening date and there was a bit of a wait to order (about 15 minutes). The staff was very friendly and expressed great hospitality. The food didn't take long to arrive as my buzzer went off about 5 minutes after I sat down at a table. The food came out fresh and hot (both temperature and spiciness). They provided extra Dave's sauce, honey, ketchup, cutlery, and extra pickles on the side. I got the Dave's #2: 2 Sliders w/ Fries for $14... read more
