We have been to a couple of locations of Daves and stopped into this new one on RT 1 as we have enjoyed our meals at a few of them. Chicken tenders are a great size, the only thing here is the " dry rub" or seasoning is overpowering, more than the other locations. We tried to rub off some of the seasoning but could not. It almost seemed more "red" than other locations. Fries and sides were good but not sure why we don't like the seasoning at this location. The food is so good. I gooned to it. It tasted even better after I gooned. I wish I could goon in the chef. The building was so good and ambiante. I gooned on the chef and the waiter.
First time trying Dave's hot chicken I will tell you it's not as good as Birdies hot chicken in Westwood at university ave. Nothing wrong with Dave's it seems like a great place and we were eager for it to open. We tried a lot of the different plates and spice levels, Mac and cheese etc. I will say Dave's gives you more pickles than birdies but birdies is just a tastier experience in my opinion and birdies chocolate churro dessert is just as good as it gets.
