if you love hot chicken i'd 100% recommend this place, i've had dave's a few times but here was a different experience, very good for the price. beautiful inside and the service was amazing, they actually have personality when they work not like robots taking orders, i absolutely love dave's and this place took the cake, 110% recommend, definitely a do again when im back in illinois

I finally got to go check out Dave's Hot Chicken in Bloomington! This is some of the freshest hot chicken I've ever had. First of all, their chicken strips are NOT small, so be prepared. When you order a slider, don't think you're getting some tiny sandwich--this thing is full-size and loaded. When we first came here, it was like a week after they opened. My wife got us food for takeout, she went inside and she said it was extremely loud. This was the first time we've ever eaten at a Dave's hot chicken. I am personally big into spicy pretty much anything. I was used to going to Chick-fil-A a lot which we like, but I always thought their chicken was kind of small for what you get and they're spicy is lacking big time and I noticed how big the chicken sandwiches were at Dave's. Nicest workers! Food came out so hot and fresh and didn't take too long to be served even with 11 of us. The workers were so kind and gave us extra sauce. The restaurant and restroom were clean.

Service was good and friendly. Not super fast, but I was looking for good chicken, not fast so that was fine with me. We tried mild, medium, and hot. Hot is pretty spicy so I can't imagine the hotter versions. Dipping sauce was good. Chicken pieces were huge. My turn off was that the spice coating was so thick, it felt pasty. Not sure if I'd try it again.

Chris was an amazing server, I've been here multiple times now and the employees are always very nice to me. Food is very good too along with the atmosphere. Would go again

First know that this isn't fast food. It's not something you would really want to eat in the car, and everything appears to be made to order. I wasn't prepared for this. I had to use the restroom and it wasn't awful, but certainly not something you would brag about. I was surprised at how many people were working behind the counter. This was Sunday around 3. Had some of the best service I've ever had. They gave us our food and it was delicious and very hot. Definitely lives up to the name and the store was also very clean. I would highly recommend going back.
