I had a very complicated squamous cancer on the outer ear into the ear canal. It was scary bad. Dr Shaffer ensured me all would be well and he cleared the cancer. His assistant is also the best. Want the best? This is it. Thank you Dr. Shaffer and staff.
Dr. Larson is non judgmental, patient and kind. My comfort is his top priority. When I am in his office, he spends time with you and is very knowledgeable. He also has a great staff that works with him. You are in good hands if you decide to choose him.
This was the 15th Mohs surgery Dr. Joe's performed on me! I flew in from Arizona to Eagan so he would do my procedure. I left a review in 2020 and nothing has changed in my feelings for Dr. Joe and the staff at Dermatology Consultants in Eagan!! Perfection in our time of need!!!
Dr. Shaffer is thoughtful and encouraging in his approach to the Mohs procedure. His technique is precise resulting in minimal to no scarring.

I highly recommend Dr. Joe Shaffer! I recently had to have 2 Mohs surgeries on my lower legs. I’m so pleased with how well everything turned out! An unexpected shocking injury to my face left me with a large gash with bad stitches from an Emergency Room. I was able to see Dr. Shaffer to see if a correction could be made. I had a hunch the wound would need to be reopened and I was apprehensive. He put me at ease immediately and spelled out the procedure and my worries were taken away. Post stitches now and several weeks later, I am forever grateful at how he was able to minimize my scarring and help me regain confidence in my looks again. Dr. Shaffer performed MOHS surgery on me a year ago and again November 2022. It was quick and painless. Healing perfectly. He is the best at this procedure.
