I had received 4 offers to buy insurance that in case of death the home equity loan would be covered, I opted out of this coverage at the time of closing and didn’t want to have unsolicited vendors contacting me. However I learned it was the county that posted our loan and thus the insurance company found us. This was explained to me and listened to my concerns even though it was not the credit unions doing. Thanks
