Dr. Suryawala is very knowledgeable and thorough. She is the best gastroenterologist my son has had. So glad we found her!
We saw Dr. Suryawala for the first time today, and left with more peace and understanding than we’ve had in the last 3.5 months. She is a phenomenal doctor in terms of validating our concerns, answering all questions, having adequate knowledge and information, great bedside manner, kind and overall made the experience of seeing her a great one. Superficial diagnostic.
I was extremely pleased with Dr. Suryawala. First the staff was personable and helpful. We didn’t have long to wait for the doctor. She was very knowledgeable about my daughter’s symptoms and explained the condition and possible options. She respected our decision and my daughter and I look forward to the follow up appointment.
Staff was unfriendly and couldn't understand English well. I had to keep repeating myself and spelling everything. They would not allow both parents to go into the exam room. Only one person allowed according to the receptionists, "Corporate policy". Parents and grandparents were devastated and being turned away.
This office is so poorly run, you can not get proper care for your IBD child. Go to Lee Health. After diagnosis (that was delayed due to her lack of urgency for anything and resulted in a 1 week hospital stay), I spent more time on the phone myself trying to get proper tests, orders and medications scheduled while the doctor and office staff let everything fall through the cracks. She is caring and very professional. She answered all questions we had. She is very knowledgeable. We were fortunate we took our daughter to her.
