I had an appointment with another dentist to see if I can get help with very severe abscess in my jaw. The dentist there refused to help me after I had paid all the necessary fees and took out a loan to pay for an upcoming procedure. I was then sent to emergency room. The attending physician went and got Dr. Cunningham to assist him in helping me with this huge abscess. Everyone in the office was wonderful. There was a little confusion because my appointment was set up by the VA, but otherwise a very good experience. Dr. Cunningham was very cordial, shook my hand and looked me in the eye when talking. Same goes for his Resident, whom i am sorry to say i forgot his name. Dr. was straight forward and explained everything in detail and asked me at least 3 time if i had any more questions. My surgery is in 3 months.
I would not recommend Dr Cunningham. I spent an extra three days waiting for results of a biopsy when the results were already provided to the doctor. This lack of empathy, compassion, and follow through shows a lack of care considered important in a doctor/ patient relationship.
My visit with Dr. Cunningham was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor. Both he and his resident were dismissive and condescending, they barked questions at me and then didn't listen to the answers, and they made me feel crazy for being there (despite the fact that I was referred by my dentist). The whole experience was so upsetting that I cried on the way home. I recommend going ANYWHERE else.
This guy is the worst. I can’t give him a low enough rating. He talks to everyone like they are beneath him while patting himself on the back for a job well done. Every concern you may have will be brushed off. And in reality it’s probably better that way. I now have broken and dead teeth. A hole in my gums. And my teeth look to be on shocks when I chew. This doctor is unprofessional and overfamiliar. He was fired from his last tenured university position on a moral clause. It must have been bad.
I was uncomfortable with the doctor as well as with the experience. I didn’t feel like there is a genuine concern for the patient’s well being.
I found the service to be unprofessional and it was an uncomfortable experience
