DO NOT SEND YOUR BABY HERE! I had my dog Chloe boarded with them for 3 months at $32/day (I left a dv situation and had no choice as my son and I became homeless). I explained the situation and asked them to do an exam of her back legs that were bothering her when they gave her her vaccines she needed to be boarded and protect her health. It took them 2 weeks to give her the shots and examine her. She developed blood in her urine while there and instead of calling me, they called my sister (different account, different pet, ... read more

Our dog was scratching and licking he feet. The diagnosis was environmental allergies and they sold us $80 monthly meds. After one day, the meds made the dog very lethargic and gave him an offensive odor. I stopped giving my dog the $80 a month meds and gave the clinic the benefit of doubt. A few weeks later, I called to get a prescription refilled and was put on hold for ten minutes. When they finally answered, I complained about being on hold for so long and received no empathy. When I mentioned that they hung up. Very un... read more

RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! They will do anything to make a buck off of you! I have been going here for several years and every time I go I ask myself why. They are rude, inconsiderate, and try to get every dollar out of you that you can! And for the love of god DO NOT KENNEL YOUR PET HERE! They make the dogs sleep on raised flooring with holes in it so they can just hose it down to clean. The dogs are told to use the bathroom in a cement room.... my dog came back dehydrated and constipated because she doesn't use the bathr... read more

Business response:

Miriah, after 3 years of enjoying your patronage, we are shocked that you feel this way. Most people are not aware WHY we do the things we do. They just think that the raised kennels and concrete look uncomfortable. The truth is that while the dogs are not nearly as comfortable as they would be at home, with you, the purpose of the raised flooring and cement is to keep your dog perfectly healthy, until you come back for them. The cement potty area is just as indicative as grass, for the dogs to go on, because the indicat... read more

Danny is amazing!! But the things I have dealt with in the last 6 months are completely uncalled for! Mix ups between my two dogs! Arguments over thyroid levels, unnecessary testing! Unprofessional behavior by staff, with snide remarks under their breath. Lack of communication! Arguing with my 17 year old daughter who was just picking up meds! And is sweet as can be! Disgusting behavior! Overheard an employee talking under her breath about a patient who's dog urinated and she had to clean it up, with using the lords nam... read more

Overall I’ve been happy, but I’m not happy at all about what happened at my last visit. My dog needs 6 month T4 blood work and I said that was what I was coming in for when I made the appointment. Once the results came back in they said her levels were too low and wanted to know when she last had her thyroid pill. I was never told the test had to be done within 4 hours of her having the pill, so now I have to pay another 90 dollars for them to redo the test. I’m not sure why I wasn’t just asked when she last had her pill bef... read more

So glad i waited to write a review. Ive been there 3 visits. First time, i brought both dogs in...had a young female vet who didnt exam my 2nd dog yet tried to charge me. Among other things. Then tried to blame the girl who takes the info for not doing her job. The girl took notes! But the vet didnt bother to read them! 2nd time was wonderful. The female vet understood my financial problems and dropped it down to basics! No excessive fees and tests. And cured my dog. 3rd visit. Took my dog in for an obvious UTI. A different ... read more

Have not had a positive experience here. They are always requesting "additional" services before any treatment can be provided and I just get the impression they are focused on revenue. Would suggest another vet that doesn't look for opportunities to charge their customers more than necessary. I've had a positive initial experience with Woodlands Animal Hospital in Oldsmar and would recommend taking a look at that vet or researching other vets in the area. There are several options in Dunedin.

I am new to Dunedin so finding a new vet is an important part of adjusting. Upon the initial visit, the doctor did not examine my dog in front of me, I assume he did his exam while my dog was getting her shots and having her blood taken but who knows? In addition, I brought my dog (toy poodle) in for a dental cleaning. I have had her teeth cleaned many times but when I picked her up, I was shocked at how bad she looked. Her face was matted and since I have owned her, I have never heard her cry. She cried for well over an hou... read more
