Friendly staff and extremely accommodating. We do a yearly friends and family camping trip and rented 7 RVs. After years of using Cruise America we decided to switch over. They service is much better with El Monte.
El Monte is a great RV Rental company. The units are well maintained and cleaned between rentals. They have a well organized process and as they are an actual RV Rental company (not an individual owner) they have a nice size fleet of vehicles. All of the staff was professional and helpful. Be prepared to spend some time for both check in and out (be ready for 2 hours each time) when renting. Rv's are not like a car rental or hotel stay. We recently rented an RV for a cross country trip. The vehicle was clean, ran well and we were given a full and thorough run through before we even started out. As a result, our first RV experience was fantastic. Special kudos to Veronica at the Miami location. Her follow through and communication left us as big fans. Highly recommend.
We had a great time this past weekend in one of the "El Monte" RV's. Getting in touch with the office was a little tough. They really should consider a more direct line. To get them on the phone we needed to go through the 800 number and the Orlando office booked our pick up appointment at 1:30pm. Finding the office was confusing as there is no clear door or signage for EL Monte RV out front. It is housed inside another business. Well it started off on a disturbing note , when I called two days ago they did not give me an actual pick up time I was told to come in from 1 pm to 4 pm to pick up my one way rental. Came in at 1:30 pm to pick up no one knew who I was and they tell me that it's by appointment by the way three people in the office and only one renter . So now we wait outside in the heat due to renters confidentiality ( renters are not allowed to talk amongst each other and exchange travels ) . We rented a class A, it was very worn out and dirty. I usually rent from cruise america and will be going back to them.

The people who work the location are nice enough but we rented an RV and hadMAJOR issues with generator. Roadside assistance is the only way to get help. Called twice and they gave us advice but wouldn't come out and help. Result was an overheated cabin during a very HOT day. Not hot water, no AC, no electricity. Troubleshooted every way we were told and MORE. Was treated by roadside assistance as if we were idiots. Came back to rental place and confirmed problem. I just rented an RV yesterday for a trip across country to relocate my 83 year old grandmother from Miami to Los Angeles. Where to begin.. The office phone line from where we picked up the RV continually rings. You're lucky if someone picks up and you can't leave a message as there is no answering machine. It's a very BAD choice to rent with this company. Every aspect of the experience was negative and/or disgusting. (1) To begin, the pickup site in Miami, Fl, is nothing short of a junk lot. We passed the so-called office thinking it was an abandoned shack - and entering was no better: a real dump with huge roaches/water bugs (and I am not exaggerating).
