My father was in here for 3 weeks after his stroke. The care was wonderful. The place is clean and rules pretty strict to help the patients thrive. The therapists were very compassionate and knowledgeable. The nursing staff was also great. Even when he was a bit demanding they treated him with respect and patience. I believe they gave him a great start for his recovery and we can't wait to "walk" him in to see His therapists one day! Thank you all, especially Anna (PT), Danielle (SP) and Kelsy ? (OT).

My husband is currently staying at Encompass. Everyone and everything has been great. They have a kind and caring staff. Everyone works together as a team to meet the needs of the patient and their family. The facility beautiful, clean and well maintained. Dr Yoon, case manager, Rachelle and all of the rest of the staff get a 5 Star Rating from us. Thank you Encompass Health staff for helping us get through this very difficult time. I wish all health care could be as good as Encompass.

God is so good my little sister Tonette Dinkins is 41 years old and suffered a stroke my brother-in-law asked what is the best place in Bakersfield for her to receive her rehabilitation therapy at and the hospital told him Encompass Health. When I say this Rehabilitation Center, is hands down the best....my point of view as a Heath Care worker and educator.

I really am in love with this place and their staff shouts out to Becca if you're reading this you hold a special place in my heart always and forever with those damn drills where I'd have to dribble a soccer ball and name 10 pro skateboarders at the same time rn it sounds easy as heck but then it wasn't so easy.. unfortunately august 9th of 2019 I suffered a stroke due to a drug overdose... any who FOURTUNATELY ended up at dr Anderson's office encompass health downtown Bakersfield god bless their staff and god bless doctor ... read more

They were very accommodating to my husband, they were really on top of everything, the only complaint is that a few of his younger CNA seemed inexperienced and kept having to repeat and come back to ask questions he had already answered, this was frustrating, but they were kind.

I can't imagine any rehabilitation facility providing better service than Encompass! From my 97 year old mother's fall 2 weeks ago until her discharge yesterday, she was treated with dignity. Modifications were made for her, such as a 24 hour personal aide assignment to ensure that she didn't attempt to get out of bed and injure her fractured pelvis even more. Was very pleased with my stay at Encompass. Everyone was very attentive across the board from the cafeteria folks, the therapists, admin staff, the nurses and the doctors. The facility is very nice and kept very clean. There is a big area for physical and occupational therapy as well as a smaller area on the other side of the hospital. They have a whole host of equipment and machines to help with your therapy. They have every patient on a therapy schedule and try to keep you on schedule. I was very please with my stay.

This is the best by far rehabilitation hospital in the valley. My wife has been treated five times at Encompass Health over the last several years and has blossomed every time. Her emotional as well as physical health improved from the first day. She works hard with the therapist to achieve the optomal results. The nurses, doctors, and assistants and therapists are the kindest, most caring and compassionate professionals you will be proud to recommend to family and friends. I've know that the rehab here is very good. I question the Drs there. Their protocol they use for pain control and/or sedation. I've known 3 people so far that have been over quite a span of time and they all were overmedicated. Confusion etc... completely unnecessary. How about slightly under medicating and working your way up to the sweet spot.
