Enigma purchased the apartment building I had been living in for two years. Once my lease was up, they increased the rent by roughly $200 a month. However, this was post covid when all the rentals went through significant price hikes. I stayed in my place because the prices were the same throughout the neighborhood and it's a huge one bedroom in a great location. Any issues I've had with items needing to be fixed were all dealt with immediately. Overall, I would recommend them as a good rental company.

My one complaint is with their property, 2443 North Murray Ave., and less with Enigma as a whole - * The sound insolation between apartments particularly those above and below is very poor. * We can hear each other’s average-to-low volume conversations, when we’re shaving, eating - down to the clink of a spoon against our teeth -, the sounds from someone using the bathroom, etc., even if you install sound panels. I lived at the Vienna court apartments since 2018 back when they were owned by DAK properties—so almost 6 years I’ve lived there. Rented from enigma for 2. I initially didn’t have any issues with them but this is a shady company. My year lease was set to end March 2025 and they sent me a renewal of the lease in October 2024 which I signed. They then gave me a non renewal in January saying it was a “mistake” they sent out a renewal. The lease says the tenant has to provide 90 day notice of vacating. Edit 2. Still no contact back from them. Tried to call. Honestly unless you have no other option don't use these people. Probably the most garbage company I have had the displeasure of renting from Edit: what's the point of contacting you guys when you never return phonecalls or msgs. You know like when my heat wasn't working at all and you just ignored me for days on end. Dirtyed my appartment left garbage in there after I had the cleaners and now want to charge me for it. Enigma has been great to work with. They are great at getting back to tenants in a timely manner, and handle issues very quickly. Everything is via app so it makes things very easy. One thing I do not like is the fees associated with dumpster removal, but hey that’s part of renting, right? I do appreciate the option to do 12 month lease and a month to month option!
