I was absolutely disgusted by this vets, my elderly dog was on the verge of collapsing and needed to be put to sleep, I rang the vet as soon as I got home from work at 5 pm (they shut at 6) and was told they couldn't see him because the vets have been busy since lunchtime, my dog was a patient of theirs and had a bad heart and cushions disease, I cannot believe they refused our poor dog on one of the most heart breaking days of having a pet, thank goodness for Terrigal vets who helped us
I took my daughters puppy German Shepherd for her 3 month injection and was told she would need to have X-rays at her 4 month injection to check if she had hip displasia. When we arrived we had to sign a form for the X-rays and a minor procedure. We had not been advised of any procedure. We wish you and your daughter's puppy all the best for the future.
I was told by my local vet that my German Shepherd X required Major TTA Crutiate surgery, I rang around a few vet hospitals, and although Erina was in the middle of the prices, I liked their services provided in the care plan. This vet had never seen my dog before, he was supposed to be booked in for Surgery TOMORROW., I took my boy to see the vet today for a consult and turns out his Cruitiate is fine, NO SURGERY at this point!! He does have a slight movement in the Kneecap, But with medication and Natural Medicines this ... read more
They are unethical and refused to give us our x-rays that we paid for, for a second opinion. Misdiagnosed my German shepherd puppy with hip Dysplasia by only taking 2 x-rays and the wrong angle to even make a diagnosis on my puppy. Basically tried to tell us we needed $900 surgery to then get a second opinion from Rob Zammit who is doing a study on hip dysplasia on German shepherds and breeds German shepherds that she doesn't have hip dysplasia, who they told us that he wouldn't have a clue about it and he doesn't know anyth... read more
Business response:
Madeline, all of us at Erina Heights Veterinary Hospital are disappointed to hear that this was your perceived experience. We emailed you the xrays as requested so you could seek a second opinion. If you submitted the radiographs to any veterinary orthopaedic specialist or radiologist, you would likely get multiple opinions supporting hip dysplasia in your pup. We treat every patient as if it were our own. In your puppy’s case we made a treatment recommendation for hip dysplasia, supported by the latest scientific research ... read more
