I've been using Extra Space Storage in Sunset Park for about 6 months and it has worked out great. I visit the spot at least once a week and the staff is always very friendly and professional. The lockers also seem to be kept at pretty even temperatures/ humidity throughout the year, which is important for me. The common areas are always well maintained and there is no shortage of dollies.

Keyon was very helpful when I called inquiring about the rates they had for different size storage units and he was also able to help show my mom the different units and the space they contained. He also explained very clearly how pricing works and how pricing can increase. If you prepay, you can lock in a monthly rate to prevent rate increases. Also if you end up leaving the unit early because you do not need it anymore, you can be refunded the rest of your prepaid amount. Thank you Keyon for your help!

Super responsive staff, will check over your account and make sure everything is accurate every time you call, and has great access hours in comparison to the previous storage provider we used.

I need 24/7 access to my items. Being turned away at 4:30 on a Sunday is extremely unhelpful. We have elevator codes for a reason. There are cameras here for a reason. Let the technology do its job. Is a tenant going to log in with their personal code and rob someone's unit on camera? Irrational. Holding my items hostage is not useful. And yes, they also do randomly raise their prices. And, "We understand your concerns, please call us to discuss" is disingenuous. No one in the year of our lord 2026 wants to call a business ... read more

BEWARE - BAIT & SWITCH SCAM! About two months after moving into a space here for a reasonable price, they simply doubled the rent. We moved out ASAP, of course, as a business like that simply can't be trusted. Stay away!
