We stay at this facility because of Michael! He is so excellent in customer service - he's honest , kind and really tries hard to give good service . We really appreciate him and wanted to leave a review in hopes management reads this and recognizes what value an employee like Michael holds ! My experience with extra storage in Rancho Cordova has been up and down. When I started renting a space from them about 6 years ago the customer service was excellent, the agent was very helpful; however, she left. The next agent was horrible. I had 3 spaces one had rodents that was eating through my boxes and baskets as well as pooping on my things she told me to purchase traps and other things to get rid of them. I was in a rush , tired, frustrated and desperate to find something before everything closed! I had called one of the other storage places and the employee that I spoke with was very rude . I told her that I was headed her way and would be there with all my stuff in 5 minutes. She responded,no, It's far to late. We are closing in 15 minutes. Then hung up on me. It was not planned. Mike first called me to set things up, but it was Melissa who moved us in. She was awesome, friendly and very professional. There has been some major changes to the security of the location and more additions on the way before the end of the year. Good to know they are taking security seriously and making the location more secure. The 4 is only because the security is not in place yet. I'll come back and change to five once the updates happen.

From the moment I walked in Michelle greeted me. She took the time to show me some units as I wasn't sure which one I needed. She was so very helpful. I came back a few weeks later and her and Mike both assisted me. They made the process go smooth and easy. I would recommend this place as the property is clean. And the customer care is A1.

Leased a space for 4 months and then they jacked the rent up 50%. The price changed from $220 to $320. Bad business model.

This is an unsafe facility. I feel I have to warn you. Although the staff at the front desk are wonderful, corporate refuses to budget enough for security, consequently it's open for thieves. I had my travel trailer stolen from here, several RV batteries, propane tanks, etc. I had a trailer broken into and vandalized. I have several friends who used this storage as well. One had his catalytic converter stolen, and then his whole RV stolen. Another had his Polaris stolen. On top of that they've doubled the prices over the l... read more

I had been a long term storage tenant, indoor 5x10. Got robbed in April 2023. Management figured it out immediately, let me know. As I dealt with the robbery, the indoor cameras appear to have video'd the robbery. But ExtraSpace policy is to protect the privacy of the robber. Not concerned with my need to see who might have stolen a very very large go kart. ExtraSpace is not looking out for you. I do not recommend ExtraSpace. Office is professional, but policy is best suited for the thieves.
