The front staff is very disorganized and rude. Every time I'm in the waiting room, all I hear is them complaining and bad-mouthing patients. And if you voice any concern that you have, they will get an attitude very quickly. Half the time, they will cancel your appt last min (and then they can't get you back in for at least another month or two). My dentist retired and had moved to Family Smiles to make the transition easier. When he left and his hygienist left, I gave them a chance. This turned out to be a mistake. The new hygienist had painful tactics and denigrated my personal dental hygiene. She implied that my former hygienist was not up to her standards. Then the dentist came in and was short with me and said I needed $5,000 in new crowns - news to me. Maybe they are right, but their delivery was impersonal and rude and crude. Please do NOT, and I repeat DO NOT make the mistake to go to Family Smiles of the Hudson Valley located on Davis Avenue in Poughkeepsie, NY. The personnel in the Administration Office is absolutely the worst, and the dentists are not any good either. This practice used to be owned by Dr. Corazon Flores and Dr. Ted Gross. When it was owned by them, it was excellent. Now that it is not owned by them, the Administrative staff keeps making mistakes such as not submitting insurance claims, not scheduling appointments on the right... read more

The most abhorent people I have ever met in my life! Dr.G is a pervert and constantly touches my arms and shoulder and have gotten uncomfortably close to me (not when he is doing any procedure, just when he comes in to talk). He also did a proceure on me a while back and I was not numbed fully, which I told him, but he didn't stop. He jumps at the slightest chance to do a filling for me, even when other dentists say there is nothing there or that it is too small to do anything for. Showed up for my appointment that I received a conformation text message for only to find out that I wasn't in their schedule. This place is ridiculous. I took time off of work for the appointment and they weren't even accommodating as this was clearly their mistake. I think it's time to find a new dentist.

I have to start my review by saying Dr. G is amazing. He is extremely nice and takes his time to explain thing thoroughly. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Dr. G. That being said, my visit today was quite upsetting, courtesy of Dr. Flores herself. I have been going to Gross and Flores since the age of three, with a small break in my twenties due to them not accepting my insurance. Went in for a routine teeth cleaning. This was my first time at this dentist office. They did a free exam after cleaning and said I have a few small cavities. I told them I never felt anything. They said when you feel it it's too late, and urged me to schedule another appointment to fill them.
