Good burgers, not quite value packed
My Best Girl and I decided to try Farm Burger on a Friday evening just for something different.
We found the staff to be quite helpful and patient while we perused the menu and various specials available to us.
I decided on one of the seasonal specials, the "BLT Burger", which had bacon inside the patty and was served with lettuce tomato and mayonnaise. I added onion rings and a soft drink. I found both the sandwich and the onion rings to be quite tasty, the latter being served with some type of dipping sauce that complemented them very well.
My best girl had a standard cheeseburger with the usual trimmings along with onion rings and a soft drink. The two things that she mentioned about her burger was that it was a little underdone versus the well-done she requested and that she thought the meat tasted a little bland. I chocked the flavor up to the fact that it is grass-fed beef and probably a fairly low fat content compared to other burger places.
My biggest gripe has to be the price. I feel that $30 for two single patty cheeseburgers with onion rings and soft drinks is quite extravagant! In addition, when you check out at the register after ordering, the cashier spends the screen around and it asks you to add a tip to your bill. I am not a fan of this new trend of being asked to tip at a restaurant without waitstaff!
That having been said, it was good food and seemed to be high enough quality. Additionally, the staff was pleasant enough. But neither justified the price, in my opinion.
