Went for traditional Thanksgiving dinner. With Farradday's excellent reputation I was really looking forward to dinner. The Caesar salad and the pumpkin cheesecake were great. The entree left a lot to be desired. The main dish arrived lukewarm(same for the table next to us), listed vegetables were omitted, had no choice for white or dark meat, and turkey was literally smothered with gravy and the taste was so-so. Service was good but a little slow. I am guessing that this is due to the labor shortage which I am still trying to understand. Steak had to be sent back to be cooked more. This seems to be typical at steak restaurants. If they overcook it it's a wasted steak, undercooked can always be rectified. If you order the oysters they come in the shell and this means it is hard to get to the meat. They were very good though. Bread is mediocre. Could use a change in their selection. I love Farraddays, and the friendly faces. I usually start with the escargots, or the poke tuna, both are delicious appetizers. Friday night I ordered the sea bass, one of my favorite fish entrees, then on Saturday ordered a steak, which was perfectly prepared and tasty, a recommendation, from my server Being too full I skipped dessert. not sure of the spelling, but Hymie my server is the best)
