I would not recommend Dr. Bansal's office to anyone. I have been going there since 2017. Only met with the actual Doctor twice. Every other visit, I was seen by the PA, which changed frequently. My medications were changed and adjusted many times, with no real relief. The last PA I saw suggested I try their TMS treatments. It was approved by my insurance, and I was told by the staff that I would only owe a $50 copay once per week. I even have a signed form that states $50 copay. After nine months, treatment was ineffective. Dr. Bansal was very unprofessional and uncaring. Pushes pills to cover symptoms which made me groggy and unable to stay awake instead of resolving the issue. Ended up in hospital for overdose, which Dr. did not reach out during hospital stay or after. Then received a bill for $50 for missed appt. while in the hospital. I agree with the person who rated DR Bansal as not experienced or knowledgeable enough to treat trauma related cases. We had the unfortunate experience to engage her during our loves ones traumatic brain injury. She was very unprofessional, displayed no bedside manner, loud, short, terse, condescending, patronizing and became very defensive and loud (again) when we asked to discuss our loved ones test results. Dr. Bansal is good at providing psychiatric evaluations, prescribing and educating about medications and suggesting treatment plans from a medical model. However, I was disappointed by my recent experience with her. She seemed to be lacking trauma-informed care in her approach. I recommend her for neurology related concerns and she seems to be knowledgable in her practice but not for someone looking for trauma-informed care.
