The dental service itself was okay, however, their billing department is terrible. After my one and only visit they billed me instead of my insurance. I was able to get a hold of them to let me them know that they needed to bill my insurance, and not me. They eventually were able to successfully bill my insurance. the place is terrible, doctor Payne was great. last time I was 8 minutes late and the receptionist cancelled my appointment citing the 10 minute policy, while 10 minutes had not yet passed. this time I sat in a chair waiting for at least someone for 1 hour 17 minutes. the same receptionist still could not answer when they would come to see me. in general, the doctor was professional as always, but the attitude was extremely disrespectful. if you have an extra hour - you can go, I cannot afford such luxury, so I do not recomm... read more

I have always been pleased by the treatment I receive at Gentle Dental. I have never had any problems with the treatment they have provided for me. They always discuss any plan of treatment and options that are available. I really couldn’t ask for much more.

I have had such a terrible experience with this dental office and I would never wish the headache that I experienced there on others. I am warning others to not give this dental office your business or time. My first appointment went fine, though not great. My real issues began after the appointment. They were not able to bill my insurance properly for that first appointment. I contacted my insurance and they were able to cover all of my fees in April of 2025. ⭐☆☆☆☆ (0 stars if I could) Gentle Dental Ballard is a predatory and disorganized company. I had a cleaning just 6 months ago, and they pushed over $17,000 worth of “recommended” services — yet never performed a single actual treatment. They ignored my calls for over 3 weeks, gave no follow-up, no care, nothing. Just pressure and silence. It's absolutely unethical. Stay far away.
