First time to the dentist in 8+ years. They were kind, professional, quick and welcoming at Gentle Ballard location. I will be back. The booking process online is easy. Hygienist & dentist were kind and patient. Informed me of all pricing of optional services with no pressure, sales tactics, etc. Just medical professionals there to do a great job.
I have had such a terrible experience with this dental office and I would never wish the headache that I experienced there on others. I am warning others to not give this dental office your business or time. My first appointment went fine, though not great. My real issues began after the appointment. They were not able to bill my insurance properly for that first appointment. I contacted my insurance and they were able to cover all of my fees in April of 2025. These folks kept cancelling appointments for lack of staff, then charge me extra for cleaning visits because "they had to do extra work because I waited too long" Their billing service is sketchy, and not very clear. When on the phone they offered a reason for the bill I owed "maybe your insurance sold you a plan for people under 18; they're known for doing that" More murky reasoning. Don't work with these people.
My first dentist appointment here was great. But now, I’m never coming back here. After coming up with a treatment plan, I booked an appointment for June 9 at 1pm to work on the right side of my mouth and on June 16 at 1pm to work on the left side of my mouth. I had a frustrating experience with Gentle Dental regarding a fluoride treatment charge. I was not informed in advance that the fluoride would cost extra, and only after the procedure did the front desk mention a $36 charge. When I expressed my concern, they assured me it would be waived. However, I kept receiving bills for the same charge despite calling multiple times (3-4) to clarify.
