My daughter's palate expander was removed last month after which she started experiencing tooth sensitivity. I looked at her tooth and noticed two grooves on the inner side of the tooth. At the monthly appointment I raised the concern with Dr. Slivka who proceeded to "explain" the natural grooves of a tooth and asked if my daughter grinds her teeth. MY FACE LOOKS MORE BALANCED WITH THE REST OF MY FACE. MY TEETH ARE STRAIGHT, I CAN CHEW MY FOOD INTO SMALLER PIECES. MY BREATHING IS ENHANCED BECAUSE MY LOWER JAW WAS MOVED FORWARD. THE LOWER JAW IS NO LONGER PRESSING INTO MY ESOPHAGUS AND OTHER MUSCULATURE. I’VE RECEIVED COMPLIMENTS ON THE APPEARANCE OF MY TEETH. THE COMPLETED PROGRAM HAS BOOSTED MY SELF ESTEEM TREMENDOUSLY. THE HARD WORK OF KEEPING MY TEETH CLEAN WAS DEFINITELY WORTH IT. I WOULD RECOMMEND INVISALIGN TO OTHERS.

After many attempts of reaching Dr. Slivka and his team. My former guardian reached out to Gentle Dental Hr and we have not heard back from them. I have had my braces off for almost two years now, and he still has not attempted to fix the problem he created. I had no previous orthodontist before him, and he responded to my earlier post about how 'i had issues with previous ortho's.' It is completely unprofessional to not fix a problem. The quality of the office staff and the Dr have declined significantly over the 3 years I’ve been a patient of the Gentle Dental office at Az Pavilions. Dr Slivka couldn’t even be bothered to see me for my last retainer check! If you want to have the majority of you ortho work done by dental assistants, then he’s the guy for you....

Thank you for your comment. Retention is a very important final stage of your orthodontic treatment. Dr. Slivka requires each patient be recalled for their Retainer Checks at (1) month, (3) months, (6) months, and (1) year. These appointments are very quick and easy, and do not require any tooth adjustments by the Orthodontist. However, if anything does happen to your Retainers, please do not wait. Call within 24 hours and another Retainer will be fabricated and delivered on the same day.

I got a second round of braces with Dr. Slivka in order to fix my bite and after a year I thought I was satisfied with the job however after my braces were removed problems with my smile became very evident, after a month Iwent back and Dr. Slivka admitted that yes more work could be done and agreed with me on the issues I brought up to him following my dental care (this is after I had spent $3000+ on braces) they told me I would have to spend another $3000 to fix these problem. It is important to remember that when signing a Consent Form for Braces Removal, you are acknowledging that you are happy with the present positions of your teeth. Orthodontic therapy is more of an Art Form than it is a Science. Many cosmetic changes can be made to meet the esthetic demands of the Patient. But once your braces are finally removed, this can become a very expensive endeavor.
