Had a great experience today with Dr. Slivka, not only was he very informative about my jaw problems, he encouraged me to have my fixed lingual retainer removed! He got it out of my mouth in pieces, can't believe that was sitting in there for so long. All I can say is that he did a fabulous job and he even had me feel every piece of it as he took it out. I am grateful and very satisfied with his work! My bottom teeth feel better without that black calculus!
I came into Gentle Dental for a consult on braces. I left that day knowing I had a payment plan and a dental plan to fix my teeth. At 26, many orthodontists didn't want to mess with my teeth but Dr. Slivka was more than happy to help me. The team was very nice and professional each appointment. The braces fixed my bite, grinding and teeth clenching that I had. I have a beautiful smile now, thanks to Dr.Slivka.
I am very happy with my results. Having straight teeth makes a huge difference on quality of life. No more jaw pain or biting my lip from having crooked teeth and an offset bite, not to mention the importance of having a happy healthy smile. Dr Slivka is great. He cares about his patients and wants them to have the straightest teeth possible. Highly recommend.
I never thought I would be able to have braces; the condition of my teeth in my opinion were beyond repair..Two front teeth were chipped and several back teeth missing. Luckily for me Dr. Slivka is a marvelous Orthdontist !! Not only did he put my braces on and reinvent my smile but, he graciously molded a temporary fix for my two front teeth. I feel like a walking advertisement because I can not stop ranting and raving about this Orthodontist. Compassionate and Caring!! He's AMAZING!! Kudos DR!
I used to hate smiling because of my overcrowded teeth, when I found out I was getting braces I was so excited that I could finally be confident in smiling! Dr. Slivka has always been there for me and made sure he has met my needs. He also never fails to make me smile at every appointment! I am more than happy with the outcome of my teeth! I never would have thought my smile would be perfect within so little time!
I came in with crowding of my bottom front teeth. I was nervous about getting braces and even more nervous about the pain and discomfort that would follow. Dr. Slivka right away after looking at my bite had a plan to correct my lower teeth. After much deliberation and discussion it was decided that we were to remove one one my bottom teeth and proceed to close the gap. I wasn't prepared for how quickly my teeth moved. 10 months later I had the smile of my dreams and overall pleased.
My experience with Dr. Slivka was a very positive one. He did everything he could to make sure that my time with braces went smoothly. He was always kind and welcoming during my appointments and made me feel like he wanted to be my doctor, while my previous orthodontist felt like treating me was a chore. Dr. Slivka helped me with things I needed help with and was honest and upfront about my braces timeline, unlike my previous orthodontist. Dr. Slivka is one of the best doctors I've ever met.

As a middle aged adult I never pictured myself getting braces again, especially since I have had them as a kid, However, because I was having jaw pain, was biting my lip often when eating and my teeth were getting more crooked with time, I thought I would just "bite the bullet" and get the darn braces. I am so happy I did! Thanks to Dr Slivka all my dental problems are gone not to mention I now have beautiful straight teeth once again and can smile with confidence. Happy happy happy! ??
