I’ve been a patient of Gentle Dental for almost 4 years. I find them professional, easy to work with, and a good value. Recently I had a crown installed, and Dr. Zhai did an outstanding job. He has excellent communication skills from the prepping, procedure, to the final installation. Needless to say the new crown fits perfectly as if it was my own. I had a great experience with my dentist! The entire team was professional, friendly, and made me feel completely at ease. The office was spotless, and they clearly prioritize patient comfort and care. My procedure was quick, and explained thoroughly every step of the way. As someone who usually doesn’t care to go to the dentist I am very pleased with this location and team.

i don’t write bad reviews often but this was one of the worst experiences i’ve ever had. I had to get a few cavities removed and they ended up finding an extra one in the process and charged me almost double what was originally discussed. And everyone was so unprofessional yelling and chatting while i was getting my teeth drilled, and they kept getting distracted with their conversation and the water was chocking me and literally sending me into fight or flight. I needed a new dentist after recently moving to Bellingham. Gentle Dental is close to where I live, and accepts my insurance, so I went last week. They were able to schedule the initial visit within a week after I called. They were able to contact my old dentist in SoCal to have previous X-rays sent. My initial visit was for evaluation, and was quick and easy. I was scheduled for cleaning just a few days later, and that went very well, also. I have no complaints. Gentle Dental initially refused to send me records over to me or my new dentist before admitting, after multiple phone calls from myself and the office, that they had lost my records. Their schedule is usually open, but I would highly recommend going anywhere else. The exam and cleaning I received here were not thorough, and I was also told I need to seek several treatments immediately, which was not agreed upon by two other dental offices.
