"If I were a betting man, I'd bet there's 0% chance there's an infection" - Dr. James Means Jr. And if I were a betting man, I'd put my life on Dr. James Means Jr. being a clown who fully believes he's a hotshot dentist. Came in with a swollen face and throbbing pain. Super concerned of an infection. Doc does an xray-- gives me that juicy quote above-- and orders a tooth cleaning. Had an appointment scheduled for 6-7 months in advance. I hired a babysitter and arrived at my appointment just for them to tell me they canceled it. Thank you for letting me know ahead of time. So unprofessional.

I am new to the area and visiting a new dentist. The staff at the office were very kind and accommodating. However I had a very negative experience with the dentist Dr. James Craig Means Jr. His bedside manner and way of speaking to me about problem areas was very condescending. I filled out on a questionnaire that I thought my dental hygiene was fair, definitely not good or excellent. He asked about my flossing habits and I was up front and said they are bad. Beware of being scammed by Dr. James Means. He told me I have 10 cavities and was in need of 1 crown and then in the same breath he told me my teeth look great and there was nothing to worry about. I of course was skeptical that I needed that much work so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. The second dentist informed me I have no cavities and simply needed one old filling replaced. Avoid this place at all costs!

Constant rescheduling and they obviously either don't keep records of that or they're straight up lying every time I ask why they keep doing it. With each one they promise it won't happen again but, as expected, it happens again and again. They told me I'd have to wait another month to get my daughter in and when I told them I have a limited schedule they tried to "get me in early" by offering days/times that I clearly stated I was not available for. Awful experience! Arrived 15 minutes early then subsequently listened to the receptionists making fun of someone trying to find their way out of the oddly designed parking lot. Either that or the one receptionist was telling the other a story that was simply inappropriate for the setting. I get it might be humorous to talk about and/or watch some poor fool driving around the parking lot, but how intelligent are you to think we all out in the waiting room feel the same way!? worst office ever office lady harasses you argues and dentist literally won't even talk to you will bark orders, told me I needed a full extraction wouldn't explain anything even stopped the assistant from the cleaning I was there for and told her my teeth would break. literally drove me into an emotional rollercoaster.
