I’ve had three separate surgical procedures handled by Dr. Dan Nielson. All were good experiences! He and his staff were competent, professional and handled the procedures, instructions and my questions very well. I highly recommend this practice!
Dr. Nielson and staff are highly professional and perfectionists when doing extractions, bone grafts and implants.
Dr.Nielson is very personable and answered all of my questions and concerns. He made me feel comfortable with the procedure and made sure I understood everything. His staff is also very helpful and amazing. I was very nervous about my wisdom teeth removal but everyone made me feel so comfortable. They send you home with thorough home care instructions which is very helpful. Overall I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend Dr.Neilson’s practice.
Dr Dan is one of the best oral surgeons in the business. He articulated the procedure very clearly to me in terms I could understand medically. He was exceptionally professional. He made the process fairly routine. He constantly checked on me to make sure there was no pain. His staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Great Plains Oral Surgery to anyone.

Great experience all along. The assistant was very thorough in explaining everything and was very personable. Dr did a great job informing me and with performing the procedure. Running a bit late but that’s understandable.
I have gone to Dr. Nielson for several tooth extractions as well as an extraction and bone graft preparing for an implant. The staff starting at the reception desk is courteous and kind. They inform you as to what will actually happen during the sedation and procedures. Once in the surgical room, they work like a fine tuned machine. I have in the past had issues with IV insertion but the nurse does everything to make sure she is finding a good vein the first time with very little discomfort. My experience was excellent from check in to checkout. I had a tooth pulled and a bone graft. It was a quick and easy experience. The nurse and doctor were so kind. They explained every step throughout the procedure and answered all of my questions. Dr. Nielson even called to check on me after the procedure . I highly recommend this office.
