I have been seeing Dr. Helton for 8 years. He is by far the most trustworthy, reliable, and professional doctor I have had in my entire life. He is definitely a doctor that has true compassion for his patients. There have been many times in the past that Dr Helton has gone above and beyond what would be expected of a Doctor. I have known Dr Helton for years. He is knowledgeable empathetic and accessible.
I have been with Dr. Helton several years now and have been very comfortable with him. I’ve had problems in the past finding professionals who truly care. Dr. Helton does well to find what works for you sometimes through trial and error. He actually cares when something doesn’t work because he wants to see you get better. When I have had to call him in between appointments, he always calls that day. Dr. Helton is extremely knowledgeable about the pharmacology of psychiatric medications, from side effects and interactions to aligning dosing to life changes. There was inevitably some trial and error at first, but we were able to find a sustainable regimen. He’s also an empathetic and conscientious counselor, even though this is a secondary role. He thinks about his patients between visits and is able to continue conversations and make updates from previous visits even after a span of several months.
I work in the field and was struggling to find someone to pay attention, be knowledgeable , and listen. Dr Helton does all of those things very , very well.

I have been with Dr. Helton for almost 2 years. As someone who is triggered by M.D. historically, I have been able to talk with and feel comfortable in his care. He will take the time to listen and collaborate on medication but will also stand firm when medically needed. I’m also triggered by calling doctors and I’ve had to do this several times between appointments with him—which is so so hard for me—but he has always returned calls, the same day and is always willing to make adjustments when

compassionate, professional, considerate, very nice, feel very comfortable talking with him.
This man is the worst. I literally thought he snuck into the office and pretended to work in this clinic. I walked out of the session to the front office and did verify he was a staff "dr." My complaint to Carolina Partners was ignored. I made a complaint with my insurance company as to him being a fraud and urging them not to pay. ..horrible
