My concerns reflect many of the others voiced here. Dr. Guzman is extremely heavy-handed when it comes to stressful and outright unnecessary interventions. He has routinely bowled past my questions and statements. He will ask questions and barely wait for an answer, because he's already decided what he thinks. Very dismissive, especially once he decides you're a "troublemaker," which he will then call you every single visit. Just so disappointed.
Dr. Guzman was HORRIBLE throughout my entire delivery. He gave no regard to the fact that I was having a special life altering experience and continually pushed unnecessary interventions on me for his own convenience. Do NOT use Dr. Guzman.
I am surprised to see so many positive reviews for Dr. Guzman as I felt very unsafe during my time with him. During my labor and delivery, I felt as though my wishes were not respected, that I was being manipulated into procedures and drugs I did not want, and that he would not listen to the nurses who tried to represent me as the patient. This we my first baby and I felt overwhelmed with everything and just went along, but at no point did Dr. Guzman demonstrate any compassion or understanding.
A C-section doctor.....this guy will cut you.....weather you need it or not. Stay away from this guy.....bad news!!!
I did not like him. In fact, I tried to change but no one would take me because I was too far into my pregnancy. When I moved here I went to him. I was about 6 months along and I wasn't that impressed but I figured I would stick it out. Shortly after I moved my grandparents died in a car accident and he showed no compassion. I was 8 months pregnant and morning their loss. I really needed him to understand my stress but he was just rude and didn't care about what had happened. I will not go back.
By far the worst ob I have seen. Highly unprofessional, ignores most questions or concerns, and flat out doesn't do several things that should be done every visit. He tends to talk down to people like they are children who don't know anything at all. He seems to think he knows everything going on in your private life and will argue with you on it. Not impressed!
He did not take a moment to read through my medical files to notice my current diagnosis and suggested that I did not have endometreosis and my pain was not solidified by the test results he received from my pelvic ultra sound. I have been diagnosed with endometreosis for 13 years; had 3 surgeries and tried various routines of birth control, etc. He also would not prescribe pain medication. He did prescribe 800 mg ibuprofen, which causes a severe reaction with the methotrexate that I take.
