Fast!
I print loan documents with this printer. I purchased an optional 2nd drawer for legal pages. It is fast! Beautiful copies in seconds in both letter and legal size. Would purchase again.

Very high amperage is needed by this printer.
I have been a user of Brother products for years. I still own Brother printers. I was very pleased with the output of this printer. My complaint and warning regarding this particular printer is that it requires 11.7 amps in which to operate.
I am not an electrical engineer but what I found was that every time I went to print, the printer would cause my VOIP phone to reboot. It also caused my desk lamp to turn off. For some reason, Brother changed the amperage from 7.4 amps with the HL-L6300 printer which I replaced with the HL-L6400 printer, to 11.4 amps which caused the problems with other electrical devices.
I returned the printer and purchased an HP printer that only requires 7.4 amps and all is well. Therefore my complaint is more with the particular printer model than it is with Brother.

Quickest & Easiest machine I've ever used
After I was able to download the driver, it hooked up quickly and easily. Prints like a dream!

Solid Printer
Have about 20 of them, and not had a minutes problem. They print beautifully for most documents. They do print a little dark on photographs.

Easy to network
I have been servicing printers and photocopiers for over
30 years. Over the last three years the Workhorse series of Brother printers have

Fastest printer in class, excellent!
I love the speed and print quality. Occasional we get a mottled bunch of characters. Restart fixes the issue.

Brother laser printer
We buy several printers a year for our business and really use them- many many copies are made! This printer from Brother has been the best lasting for us. It makes beautiful colored copies for our catalogs. I would definitely recommend it for people that need a good printer and use it a lot!

This printer is AWESOME
The HL-L6400DW re-defines the term workhorse. This thing prints SUPER fast (almost a page per second) and the first page is usually out within 10 seconds. It has an extremely small footprint and hardly weighs anything, which makes it practically mobile if you find that you are relocating equipment frequently. It has an option for a huge (20,000 page) toner cartridge, which also saves us a ton of time. The built-in paper tray holds an entire ream of paper, which is also nice. The print languages and protocols supported by this printer have also made my life easier as a system administrator. Finally, the drivers that I used for Windows, MacOS, and Linux for our old printer (a Brother MFC-8890DW) worked out of the box for this new printer, so absolutely NO changes were required from a software/networking standpoint. Absolutely amazing. Thanks Brother for a job well done on this machine!
