I gotta tell you about this amazing place called Humanimals. It's like this sanctuary in the middle of the south dunedin where they treat animals like family. A little bit slow with communication but they care for you and your pets. It's difficult when there are staff shortages. Love the new little cat corner.
We have been clients of Humanimals in Sth D for a number of years, first with our old dog who passed away in 2020, and then with our new dog, who is now 3. The service has become less than ideal after the merger and the increase in client base. It is very hard to get through by phone to make routine appointments. There is also no consistency in what vet you see (not necessarily a new thing, as we had this issue with our old dog too, but I think it is worse since the merger). No more humanimals. Poor management and unkind receptionist. Took my seriously sneezing cat there @ 4:45pm just wanted to get a nurse/vet taking 10-20s for a quick look. To say whether an emergency appointment is required (couldn’t get same day emergency appointment, so that was my only way). No client was waiting, and I wasn’t trying to skip any cost (they can say yes it’s needed and I would definitely be happy to pay that consulting fee).
