ICCU has had an outstanding reputation in the past. I have used them for my HELOC which I havent used. I just decided to use it on a purchase until rates comes down as there are little to no fees vs a mortgage on a second home. To get the amount of money I needed they charged me $640 for an appraisal of my home.... which is full price for a full appraisal (not just a drive by). back in September I bought a truck and it ended up being financed through ICCU. I had been wanting to start working with the credit union as I'm getting close to retirement so I opened up a checking account and a savings account. My loan payment now has been late every month because the bank can't figure out how to take the money out before the loan date that they set up is due. Many branches so it's hard to make sure people see the reality of the credit union. Basically the people are nice but every process will have several extra steps because of one reason or another - fighting fraud, etc. In the end it cost my business.

I was scammed during the pandemic and long story short it affected me greatly. Then Idaho Central Credit Union decided it was appropriate to withhold the money that the President sent me to help me through these times. A man by the name of Bridger in their fraud department, though I was informed by a specialist in their organization just yesterday that they would not withhold the stimulus money because they recognize how important it is, said he was going to override that and not give it to me. Wonderful bank but , DONT USE THERE ATMS !!! There great for depositing checks but when depositing cash they are terrible. This is the second time the atm has had problems counting cash. I have to wait to use my money until the next business day which is such a pain, especially if you don't get off work until after hours and only have access to the 24/7 ATM. Otherwise the ATM problem this bank is wonderful always kind and helpful.

I used to love ICCU, until I was scammed around Christmas time and they told me don't come back to the bank claiming I had scammed myself. A bank is supposed to help in these situations. Terrible customer service once you actually need help.

I'm writing on behalf of my relatives . My aunt and her husband . (My uncle) They allowed senior abuse and exploitation under their watch and when we call to try to solve this problem they handled it so poorly . Around April/ May of 2018 , My aunt brought documentation which Eric Garcia in the Fairview location personally made a copy of to put in their records . This document states her husband has dementia and is no longer able to manage finances due to mental decline , and that his wife would manage their financial means.... read more

Wish I could give these banks a worse than 1 star because I don't feel that's deserved, if you want to open an account at a bank that will constantly take bs hidden fees out of your bank account than this is the one to go to. Also the security of your account is horrible as mine was making payments to credit companies that I never owed anything to. Once I realized this was happening I called ICCU to get it figured out and they did nothing to help. Told me to call some credit company and didn't even give me they're phone numb... read more
