The staff were generally very good to work with and caring, and [name removed] the executive director was great to work with. Would recommend to others

Several nursing assistants were outstanding, several mediocre, and a rare few lazy. The outstanding ones individualized care, offering activities geared to individual needs. Residents were clean and well fed. Activities directors were a joke. The best activities were provided by a nursing assistant [name removed], with small groups of residents. Her creativity was amazing. Staffing was subpar. One NA and one med tech Per shift is inadequate. This was typical for day shift. I was there every day for 2-3 hours. As with all fac... read more

So here’s the deal I’ve been to a lot of places with a lot of amenities, but at the end of the day what matters most is the care! Not the building or the decor but ZTHE CARE!!!I think a lot of people lose sight of that but they haven’t and I’m so grateful for that

What we really like about Iris Memory Care is that they are prompt in inquires. When they realized that my dad was experiencing a medical issue they called me immediately and had him transported to the hospital. They keep me informed of any activity out of the norm. The main nurse gave me her personal cell for communication. She would send pictures of my dad while he was involved in daily activities. Based on the experience we have had so far we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

This is a wonderful community. The staff communication with the family has been good anytime we have had questions or concerns. There are three meals a day served to the residents, and they have choices to choose from. The community could use more staff overall to assist with the care of the residents. Overall, it is a community I would recommend to others.

My sister was admitted there by an activities staff member with no documention of her diagnoses. A nurse then dictated rules for my sister in relation to visitors that were not in sync with that outlined in the admission agreement. She was isolated from all family except for 2 people. "Treatment Team" meetings were basically non existent and family was asked to sign participation weeks or months after the fact. My sister and another resident were assigned work detail which included sweeping, mopping, picking up trash and cle... read more

I'm there on weekends and often the food is cold and difficult for people to eat. It would be better to have things that could be picked up easily, or cut up or easy to get onto a fork or spoon. My mom isn't eating much lately, but It can be a struggle for others and more work for the staff. I love that the staff is so upbeat and they seem to know the quirks and character of the individual residents. They are very kind and patient.
