A single star is an overstatement, as this business operation from top management to bottom (i.e., local company reps) is a ZERO for a business rating, not to mention SHABBY facility. SINCE OCTOBER 2023, there is NO FULLTIME MANAGER on the property to address customer issues, clean/maintain premises, survey property for security assurances, help with move in/out. I booked in advance a 5 X 10 unit and was given confirmation, however, when we got there we were told that none of the smaller units were available and we had to get a 10 X 10 unit which was double the price. When I complained about the "bait and switch", the area manager assured me he would send an email to me and give me a discount on the unit. I have been a customer at the Evanston location for over 6 years. Up until today I was very pleased. I was downsizing into a smaller unit and had entered the facility alone around 9:30am. I came faced with an individual sleeping on the floor probably homeless. I question the security and safety at this location…. I left immediately and re- entered later with a couple of movers. I was very scared!! DP
