When I first moved to Baton Rouge, I looked for a physician who was sensitive and caring to LGBTQ+ health issues and concerns. Dr. West is extremely knowledgeable in that area, and was able to discuss PrEP and all the lab tests that come with a PrEP prescription. He also manages other medications for anxiety very well. My previous PCP refused a PrEP prescription for me (even though we discussed the scientific and medical literature around it) and referred me to an infectious disease physician, which was totally unnecessary. ... read more

Dr. West is extremely patient, answers all your questions,(spends quality with his patients) I have never felt rushed on an appointment with him! He is Very thorough, knowledgable, and such a great doctor! His nurses, Trudy and Chavez have been with him a long time and they are true quality, caring and over the top helpful to the patients! (Birds of a feather...)
