Excellent wait staff. Exquisite food. Great atmosphere.
We love J-Prime. in fact, we think it's probably the best steakhouse in San Antonio. certainly equal to the Palm and Morton's, which are excellent, as are Perry's and Bob's. i guess I'm saying you can't go wrong. The wait staff is attentive but not "hovering." We'll never get tired of J-Prime.
Great meal. Waited a little for our table even though we had a reservation. A little loud until 9ish...then noise went down. Service was great.
We went to J Prime for Mothers Day because the food is excellent, the service is professional, and because we have a handicapped son who is always welcomed and treated with dignity and respect.
This is the third time I've eaten at J-Prime. It gets better every time. Depending on what your normal dinner budget is, this may or may not be a pricey dinner. Regardless of the cost, it's a bargain for what you get in return! The service and food is off the charts! Did I mention the service??? Hats off to the staff of J-Prime...for those looking for a nice place for a nice dinner, look no further...you'll be glad you did.
Great ambience. Alex at the bar makes a great cosmos and dry Martin w/stuffed blue cheese olives.. Sea bass was cooked to perfection and the bacon wrapped filet was yummy. From the hotess to wait staff to buss boy and the owner greeting tables and making sure our food was cooked to our liking this is a must eat restaurant for happy hour or if your looking for a great meal with a great restaurant employees...

J Prime experience was superb! Bringing my 3 year old grandson was a bit of a challenge to their service, even with him being well behaved. They accomplished an old world type personal service and accommodated our food allergies seamlessly. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the tuna tower and charcuterie appetizers. The beet salad was delightful with the proper vinaigrette dressing. Of course the steaks and scallops practically melted in our mouths. We (4 sisters and Mom) had a lovely Mother's day late lunch at J-Prime Steakhouse. Everything was great. We all ordered the Filet Mignon, cooked medium. The meat was amazingly tender and with lots of flavor, however slightly overcooked for our taste. For sides, we had: risotto=amazing, potato au gratin=amazing, carrots w/apricot=ok.
