J-Prime is my favorite fine dining experience in San Antonio. The craft cocktails by experienced bartenders alone is a reason to visit, but the food and service can't be beat. We drive down from Austin, even though a new location opened in Austin, because there is just something more cozy and more charming about the original San Antonio location.
From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, our experience was nothing short of fabulous! Drinks were amazing, food was amazing, and service was spectacular. All dishes we had - the sashimi, sausage/cheese board, A5 Wagyu Filet Mignon, Filet Mignon Duo, Street Corn and Crab Fried Rice - were EXCELLENT! Gone many times, this one for a birthday celebration. Love that restaurant, will go more often.
Great service and food. Loved that our server never had us wanting for anything and was able to accomplish this feat without being overwhelming. A bit sad about the huge increase price for the seafood tower, but that’s happening all over the country.
Our server Harllie was absolutely amazing. She’ll be my request every time I’m there. Food was elite paired with top notch service.
As always we weren’t disappointed. From the time we entered the door we were treated fantastically. greeted with a smile and great attitude. Not to mention the managers Mike, Daniel and the rest of the staff very cordial and on top of their customers needs. The steak and lobster were cooked to perfection. The ambience was just right. When I first dined at J Prime, being that I went to Culinary School, I asked our waiter, what sets you apart from other high end Steakhouses? His response was "our service!" The waiter was absolutely correct and has been the case every time I have dined here at J Prime. Although I'm saddened that the Risotto is no longer available but the Crab Fried Rice was a good replacement! Thankyou!
