Saw this filter on Amazon for about $800. Dealer charged over $1500 to us installed. Installation took less than 30 minutes. We like the mateerial the filter is made form. After installation there was a small leak at the pressure vent which was fixed quickly by tightening. Later there was a leak at a joint coming out of the filter. I was also able to stop the leak by tighteneing the connection. There was a third leak at the joint between the top and main part of the filter. My previous pool was Pentair with my new pool being Jandy. The Pentair pool has mostly 20 year old technology as a base, replaced with newer parts as needed over the years. That said, although the Jandy cartridge filter is adequate, I like the 20-year-old Pentair cartridge filter better. The Jandy filter housing is difficult to take apart to access the filter element for cleaning. The twist off ring on the Pentair filter housing is just easier to operate.
