works great works great and easy to install. I replaced my 3/4 H.P. for this 1 H.P. and it pumps great. I recommend this pump.
Small but powerful I was in desperate need of a new pump but didn't have a lot of money to go round. As things would have it, my Air Conditioner was also going out at the same time. I found this pump and saw it was rated the same as my old Jandy but was much smaller. After lengthy consideration I decided to buy it. Great Pump Great pump, of course. But the threads on the connectors were bigger on this model than my last. Had to cut pipe and glue adaptors in order to install. The new threads are large. The old small. So check yours before replacing or be prepared to cut.

then in year 2 it started making loud noise like the bearings were failing and today the motor died ... Bought a house with a pool and had this pump, but burnt out a few months later. So replaced with same pump and was quiet for about a year, then in year 2 it started making loud noise like the bearings were failing and today the motor died completely. 2.5 years later. Don't waste your $400 on this.

Motor rebuilt after 5 months run time. We've had our inground pool 26 years. Our first pump was a Hayward, it lasted 15 years (closed in winter). Replaced that one with another Hayward, it lasted 10 years, I replaced it with this Jandy FHPM1.0 model. It was super easy to replace. After 13 MONTHS (out of warranty of course) the motor quit working. I removed the motor from the impeller house (super easy) & took it to an electric motor repair shop that handles pool motors. 1 day & $150 later my pump was up & running again. The ... read more
