My husband and I used the Joey gift card, a Christmas present, from my niece. We went on Dec. 30 while we were on holidays and had a relaxing lunch. Joey was a lively restaurant at lunch time. The Ahi Tuna Taco was a refreshing appetizer. The Lobster Grilled Sandwich was grilled to a perfect crisp. The Baby Back Rib was juicy, soft and tasty. We had a great time!
Great place just too noisy (music)
Although I had booked a table for 2 I had an extra guest and when they arrived they were left waiting for 10 mins even though they had said it was under my name, so that made us all late, we were put in your Wine Bar area, way in the corner with a huge table that you could hardly get in to. The server took forever to come by to take our order (as we were on a lunch time break). The food and wine was very good.
Excellent food and service was friendly.
Our party of 8 split a couple of appetizers to start - the crab and goat cheese dip and the calamari. They were both wonderful. As well, we all received a complimentary taste size of sparkling wine. Our server was attentive but not intrusive, the food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect. Despite the restaurant being very busy at this time of year, we were well "fed and watered" within a standard lunch hour time frame. A great experience for all.
now that we've tried both Burrard St Joey's, we prefer the Robson Street one because they allow food to be pre-ordered and the food is available upon arrival which worked spectacularly for our party of 7. otherwise, staff was fairly attentive.
Making a reservation before hand is so important because the restaurant is hot spot for lunch in downtown business area. Great food and good service. What can you ask for more? I had lunch at Joey's Bentall One, then I had late dinner at Joey's new location on Lougheed hwy at Burnaby. Both are great!
Colleagues got together after work. We had barely finished our food when the waitress clear our table and does not offer drink refills. She even removed the empty beer glasses and presents us with our bill. That's just short of kicking us out!
Had a great time with great friends.
