We were a group of 6 smashed into a booth with not enough room to be comfortable Food was very good
We’ve been here a ton of times, as it’s one of our go tos, but this time was different. Service was extremely poor. We tried to order a red bottle from BC and after about 15 minutes advised they were sold out. We ordered a different bottle and took forever to be served. They don’t have a lot of Canadian wines to begin with, so you’d think they would keep Canadian wines well stocked. Same problem with our food service. My husband and I go into Joey Sherwood often. We went last night and received the worst possible service ever. The food sizes were noticeably smaller. There was missing ingredients. But I can’t even express the terrible service we received. The waitress did absolutely nothing for us. Completely ignored us until we requested the bill to leave. Sadly we will not return. We are not overly pleased with our experience at Joey’s. After being seated it took almost 10 minutes for our server to greet us and ask for drinks, it then took another 10 minutes for our drinks to come. The margarita was missing the egg whites so it wasn’t as good as it normally is. After our food arrived we waited another 10 minutes to get soya sauce and for that we had to flag our server down. I have a dairy allergy and one of the few dairy free appies was the Miso roasted Mushrooms. They were super tasty but should have come with something to wipe up the rest of the sauce with. I wanted to order the Peanut Prawn Curry but was told it contained milk. I said coconut milk isn't dairy, but the server said the chef told her there was milk in that dish. So I chose the Katzu Chicken Salad instead and although it was okay, I probably wouldn't order it again. Also, they forgot the peanuts that are supposed to be included.... read more
The service was horrible. The waitress was told we needed to be at an event and time was important. She totally ignored it. Took 20-25 mins to get water and rinks. The food was lukewarm warm and disgusting. Will not be back and I used to go here regularly.
Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with my client at a business lunch.
