Very bad experience.I invested money on things to work out at Johnson ranch.The staff was very rude like they are a elite country club when the equipment is out dated and the members for the most part snobby like they were some reason special and delicate cause they were white but treated me very harsh.In one incident a staff member asked what did I want when I only desired to ask about a piece of equipment they refused to put up despite them ignoring my request several times.Not very welcoming after they get you to sign a ... read more

Wow...stopped by today to try the club again after pausing my membership for 6 months (closed) and they still have minimal services. Workout facility totally inadequate so you travel out side for more equipment...then the shirt patrol comes out to bother you. Cannot workout or walk outside without a shirt on. Amazing what they worry about these days beside trying to get more members back. STILL no squash or racquetball even though SF clubs have been wide open for months. Today I went to this club to join. After waiting 15 minutes I was told that I needed to drive to an alternate location as the person who assists memberships was busy...not signing in another member BTW. The staff did not seem interested. Awful customer service. I shopped 2 other gyms and was warmly welcomed at both. Decided on the new big one up the street. It's slightly more expensive but the customer service seems worth it.

This club doesn,t have a good service what so ever,and the club is going down the hill.
My family has enjoyed the club for a number of years now, and although it is expensive ($200 to $300 per month at times) we still pay with out complaint. We have always thought the people working at Johnson Ranch were some of the nicest people anywhere (many are our personal friends) Recently we have noticed gossip that has made us uncomfortable. Can't beat it for tennis, but the membership rates are outrageous. If you just want a gym membership, try golds gym, 24 hr or cal fit.
Tennis is great here, GREAT. If you are here with wee ones, get on the Rory tennis training train because he is nothing short of spectacular. Such a great person to have at the facility. The pool on the kid's side is great. The staff here is really, REALLY nice. I really want to love this place. So JRRC, you have the great staff, mostly nice people coming here ... why aren't you updating your joint more in the cardio room? I do take a silly tone here, and I don't take giving jabs lightly ... but it's meant for needed change... read more
I was a member here for two years prior to switching over to Gold's in Granite Bay. I left because the dues were increasing year after year and the fitness facilaties were getting older and not updated. The real advantage of this gym is if you either play tennis, racquetball or swim a lot. If you don't do any of those, you will be much better off either at Gold's or the 24 Fitness in Roseville.
