The worst vet I’ve ever been in contact with. If you have an emergency they won’t help you if you aren’t a regular client. We recently moved and the vet we’ve used for our dogs are too far away. We had a freak emergency and the lady told me she couldn’t help me because they weren’t accepting new clients.

RecommendedDO NOT RECOMMEND. Staff was great. Dr. Guntharp dismissed us after my dog had a 3hr long seizure, begging him to help save her and removed her IV after I asked for a breakdown of the bill and asked real financial questions. I have pictures of how she was returned once he demanded the IV to be removed. I've never been more disrespected by someone's actions and words in a clinical setting. I pray he treats his staff and other patients with more respect.

We have used this office for 6 years and never had any issue until yesterday. I came home to my baby pooping blood. Called the emergency number and at first was told to wait until morning and bring her in if she wasn't any better. Was never offered to bring her in that night for an emergency. Being concerned for my pets well being I called emergency pet hospital in Memphis who said to bring her over. Do not recommend taking any of your pets to this vet! They charge you for a comprehensive physical exam that they require for any appointment. The physical exam costs double any thing else they charge you for. It takes literally 30 seconds and they just look at your pet, something that should be free of charge. They wouldn’t allow me to receive any other services if I wasn’t going to pay for the physical exam. I will be taking my pet to any place other than here and highly recommend against using these crooks!
I used this vet clinic for 9 to 10 years with my pet as did my adult children. We took a stray kitten my daughter found on the side of the road (and was injured with eye trauma)there for help explaining the situation. The only help they would give without charging was putting the kitten down. I had to pay $150 for an antibiotic and something for pain for kitten. RecommendedWORDS OF GRATITUDE FOR THE JONESBORO FAMILY VET CLINIC. THEY TOOK CARE OF GIZMO WITH THE BEST OF CARE FOR THIRTEEN YEARS. WHEN HE GOT OLD AND FRAIL THEY LOVED HIM ENOUGH TO TAKE AWAY HIS PAIN AND SUFFERING. I KNOW DR GUNTRUP AND DR STRICKLAND LOVED HIM AS MUCH AS I DID. I am very disappointed and surprised because when I posted that I needed a vet and it was emergent and after hours this place was the recommendation that I got. When I called the first time and spoke with a vet it was ok. He told me what to do and if my dog got worse it would be $350 to just bring him in. I was fine with that. Anything for my fur babies.
