I wasn't a cancer patient when I needed Dr Shaffer. Still, he treated me as gently & as kindly as if I were. I saw Dr. Joe Shaffer for the first time for a Mohs surgery on my face. It was discovered from a different dermatologist , whom of which I cannot recommend from a different company. Dr Joe has this aura about him that puts you at ease the minute he walks in the room. His confidence and assuring puts you at ease immediately which is very comforting when you’re in a high stress situation of unknowing. Dr. Shaffer recently used the Mohs Procedure to remove skin cancer on my cheek. He explained the procedure thoroughly, was able to remove all cancer and sutured the site expertly. Throughout the entire procedure he described what he was doing, was attentive to my concerns and explained the healing process completely. Hie professional demeanor was warm, courteous and attentive to me as his patient. Dr. Shaffer is the best!! I've had several Mohs surgeries performed by him. He has always, always had the most calming affect on me in what could be a scary situation!! His surgical abilities are amazing!! No one can tell how many procedures have been done on my body - especially my face!! No other surgeon will ever do!!
Excellent! My neighbor suggested Dr Schaffer after I told her what a local dermatologist had planned for the squamous on my face. I was scared. Texted picture to Dr Schaffer, met within a week and was treated (Mohs) and I cannot believe the result. Fantastic! Barely noticeable. Thank you! You are the best!
Dr Shaffer performed Mohs surgery on my leg. He was able to excise the skin cancer and made sure there would be no scar. He was very warm and friendly and explained everything he was going to do. I would recommend him to friends and family and have already done so. Thank you Dr Shaffer!!
Dr. Shaffer was knowledgeable, efficient, and performed a Mohs surgery without complication. I highly recommend his services. He's also a very interesting person! Where else will you find such eclectic interests as "fitness, opera, and comic book collecting"? Now that's diversity!!
